Leo in Marriage
Leo in Marriage
(Skip below for Leo husband)
You would have to be a brave man to even think of taming the lioness. It’s no wonder she caught your eye, because she was trying to, and she always gets what she wants. But before you let that pride inflate, realize that she’s also trying to catch the eye of every other man in the room. What do you expect? She’s a Leo woman after all, attention is what she wants.
Even if she’s the most beautiful woman in the world, half of her appeal comes from her extraordinary confidence. She has a remarkably poised manner about her, and will be the personification of power. Her eyes are fiery, searing with a promise of bold passion, and if that lures you in, remember that if you treat her badly, that same passion will turn into a seething fury, and you won’t have any place to run. Tangle with the lioness and you won’t limp away just rubbing them, you’ll be counting them. She has a fearsome temper when wronged, and has a great deal of arrogance in her manner, but underneath it all she’s still a woman, feeling and sensitive.
Shes wants a man who is her equal, who can match her boldness, and challenge her in the best possible way. She doesn’t want a man who’s spineless or insecure, but she also doesn’t want someone who tries to dominate her. She wants someone in between, preferably a tad bit submissive. Leo females often choose men that are less attractive than them, or have lower income jobs, just so that they can establish the balance of power in a relationship. The lioness will rarely go after a top supermodel, or shackle herself to the role of a trophy wife to some big shot businessman. If she does, then it’s not real love, and she’s not committed to the marriage.
Nothing means more to her than her role as the Queen in a family, and she won’t let anyone challenge her authority on that—not even you.
If you haven’t been scared off, then we can get down to discuss her more rewarding attributes, chief amongst them her sense of passion. Leo women are notoriously passionate and adventurous in bed. This is a gal that will throw you down and work you till you’re left breathless, and she’ll do it with enviable composure. She’s graceful and elegant, and is not the kind of girl you’ll see stumbling, twisting her fingers shyly, or giggling incessantly. She’s not girly—womanly, yes, but not girly. Her boldness will be off-putting to some men, and that’s too bad for them, because they’re missing out on one hell of a woman.
She’s faithful as a wife, but to a point. She dictates her own sense of morality, and if she’s chosen you, then she’ll be faithful as long as she believes in your marriage. Treat her wrong, however, and she won’t just cheat you, but she’ll do everything she can to hurt you before she leaves.
She adores her children, her precious lion cubs, and will consider her their first parent, and you their second in command. Get used to it, because Leo women are fiercely possessive mothers. But in a funny twist, she’s also laid-back in her role as a parent. She won’t chase after them to make sure they’re eating right and doing their homework; she won’t fuss over them or worry if they’re late from school. If someone so much as raises their voice to them, then she’ll charge out with a fierce roar. But until then, she’s perfectly happy letting them find themselves on their own. She’ll raise independent, self-sufficient children, and if she doesn’t have a water-sign ascendant, can actually inadvertently deprive them of affection. In such an event, you’ll have to compensate as the second parent.
She’s smart, she’s sexy, she’s bold and she’s charismatic. She can tie you down and make love to you, about as easily as she can hand you your teeth if you ever betray her. She’s all woman, the Leo wife, but she’s a lioness at heart; it’s in your best interest to treat her well.
The lion is the very symbol of a husband and the masculine figurehead in any relationship. And with the Leo husband, you get what you expect. He will have a unique charm to him, one that no doubt captivated you during your courting days, when you were keenly aware that he had caught the eye of a few other girls. It’s why you made sure you got to him first. Nice work, but that’s only half the job done. Catching the lion is one thing, taming him is a whole other task. But the good news is that it’s not impossible—improbable maybe.
All women secretly desire a man who is powerful and dominating, perhaps even a little rough around the edges, who they can polish, soften, and turn into their perfect partner. The Leo man has all of the attributes of a diamond in the rough, but polishing him won’t be easy. For starters, he’s about as arrogant as one can possibly be. This is yet another quality that you would have found attractive, because in a room full of men, he will always act like the Alpha male (unless of course, there are a couple of other Leos around, and in that case watch out). He’s stubborn, inflexible and thinks the world of himself, and all this will pose challenges to your quest of taming him. But take heart in knowing that underneath all these abrasive qualities is a generous, giving spirit, and a desire for stability.
The Leo man wants a family, starting with a lioness he can call his partner. Yes, he will admit that an entire pride of lionesses wouldn’t be bad either, but once he’s fallen in love, you’re all he will want. His eye might wander occasionally and he is a born flirt, so women will always gravitate to him. But what the lion is attracted to is not looks alone; what he wants is someone who gives him attention—lots and lots of it. So while he will indulge in flirting and will enjoy the attention women give him, he is also fiercely loyal, so he’s unlikely to cheat. Give him a challenge if you ever want him to do something (or not to do something). Imply that he’s likely to cheat on you, and just for that, he’ll turn down the advances of even a bus full of playboy bunnies, just to prove you wrong.
He has a great sense of humor, which you’ve no doubt noticed, but his jokes will rarely be self-deprecating. His brand of humor is sarcasm and mockery, and he will love to make fun of anything and everything. This can get on your nerves if you’re a sensitive person, but if not, you can learn to allow him this indulgence.
Leo men tend to form strong addictions, so it’s best to police him with things like painkillers and medication drugs. Liquor can be a problem, especially if he has a Cancer or Pisces ascendant, but for the most part, he’s strong enough to overcome any weaknesses.
Passion is this man’s forte, and is one area you shouldn’t have complaints with. You might notice however that he won’t reciprocate to all your advances, even if he’s feeling the same way. Control means everything to the lion, and he wants to be the one who makes the first move ninety percent of the time. Don’t complain. The Leo male needs to feel like he’s in charge, so let him think that he is. The happier he is, the happier you will be.
A Leo husband that is content in his marriage and feels like he’s the dominant partner can be infectiously happy. He’ll love you generously, treat you lavishly, and indulge your every request. He’s not the most romantic, but he has a sense of occasion, and enjoys living large. He will adore his cubs, take pride in them, and love them fiercely. In short, his needs are simple, and his love for you is direct. He’s not a complicated person. Sex, romance, family, work, hobbies, and basically every aspect of life is a power struggle to the Leo man, and what he wants is the lion’s share of the power. And luckily for you, all he wants and expects from your marriage is the lion’s share of your love.
